When we help heal the Earth, we help heal ourselves. When we respect and care for God’s creatures, they in turn will care and provide for us. We believe God is intrusting us to be good stewards not only to his land and his creatures, but to help others know the goodness and wholesome nutrition He creates on our Ranch.
We are not “organic.” We feel this term does not have the credibility it once had. Just because someone feeds organic feeds to animals has nothing to do with how the animal is treated and housed. When you consume products from Bare Bottom Ranch you can rest assured that our animals have lived a good, stress free life eating what they would naturally without growth hormones or antibiotics. They have been free to roam, scratch and graze and they sleep in predator free, roomy housing. Our chickens know what a dust bath is, have 80 acres to run and scratch on. Our goats, sheep and pigs eat what they want in the pasture, but are safely fenced in on the boarders of our property. Our products taste better because our animals have led contented lives; our products will cost more, but at what price is a clear conscience? We are not “certified humane.” For example, did you know that this certification allows debeaking of chickens? This doesn’t sound humane to us. However, we feel that openness is one of the strongest suits of those who practice good animal husbandry. We welcome and encourage visitors. Anyone reluctant to show you around may be guilty of questionable husbandry. The only “certification” that you can completely trust is the one that you make with your own eyes. Bare Bottom Ranch offers natural products with God’s goodness. ALL of our animals are free range with access to pasture 24/7. We offer five Star Icelandic Lamb, beef, chevron, pork, poultry and raw goat milk to name a few of the items that can be found at the ranch. We adhere to guidelines provided by the Raw Milk Association of Colorado for milk handling, milk testing and legalities.
Spend some time visiting; we hope you join our “herd” real soon.
